Waymarks draws on different aspects of the training and experience of David Ward.
David has previously been a banker, teacher, youth worker, minister, centre manager and Executive Officer of a storytelling charity.
He now makes a living by offering his experience and training and by sheer hard work.
He lives in the Scottish Borders, close to Duns.

“One of my inspirations has been the story of the life and travels of St Brendan, the 6th century Irish monk who founded many monasteries and is famous for a fabulous voyage that he undertook, “replicated” in more modern times by Tim Severin’s “Brendan Voyage”.
Whether the journey was a real geographical one or a journey of the soul, I have learned a lot from Brendan’s attitude to risk and travelling “for the love of Christ”.
The boat in Waymarks logo is a reminder of this.”
